Thanks a bunch of featuring my Unagi and Avocado Rolls with Carrot Sushi Rice! I'm so pleased with how the sushi *and* the pictures turned out, and will cheerfully torment my spouse if the new camera he bought (because the camera I used to take that photo hurt his wrists so it went back) doesn't have the capability to take photos like that one.
More sushi in my life--yippee!
But first, let's get serious with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and Tomato Soup.
Nah, lemme just say that after a winter of trying different things I hit upon a Creamy Tomato Soup with Home-canned tomatoes that knocks my socks off, in a grilled-cheese-and-tomato-soup kind of way. Made with tomatoes, pesto, and roasted garlic I put up in the season, plus some other pantry ingredients, it's ready whenever we need a simple meal. Love that. Canning tomatoes is not hard. Let the brain washing begin.
And to go along with tomato soup I'm sharing the first of 3 grilled cheese sandwiches, the high falutin' Grilled Goat Cheese, Fresh Fig, Speck and Honey Sandwiches. Very yum, as my son would say.
Finally, your amazing tutorial on how to make and map a collage resulted in the collage of layered vegetable appetizers shown above--and I updated all of the posts in that group to show it, which I think is pretty cool. This particular dip, Avocado Feta Hummus, looked so Easter-y to me with the delicate colored veggies chopped on top that I couldn't resist throwing another appetizer in before the holiday.
Thanks for hosting!
Thanks for the party Anyonita and have a great week!
