Meet Your Match with TGI Fridays' Fabulous New Menu

A VIP evening at TGI Friday's, trying their fabulous new menu and meeting my match!

Renown the world over for being the place to go if you want a good time, TGI Fridays is one of my favourite  restaurants. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting one of my local branches to celebrate the launch of their new menu. With a stint behind their legendary bar, whipping up my own cocktail and two over-sized courses of incredibly delicious food, I definitely met my match with this new menu.

The TGI Fridays Meet Your Match menu is the biggest update to the franchise's menu since 2007.  It features smoky, tender meats (like the absolutely delicious, finger-lickin' Jack Daniel's Bucket of Bones) and sweet and savoury treats (like the insanely good Chicken Finger BLT Waffle).

From Double Layered Nachos to the succulent Jack Daniel's Pork Belly, you will be hard pressed to find something on this menu you won't love! In between stuffing our faces, the team at the Royal Exchange branch were nothing short of excellent hosts. (This is always the case, whether I find myself munching on food there as part of an event or because I went on my own.)

After chatting with the Royal Exchange staff and the franchise's head chef, the servers took it upon themselves to entertain us with games of Higher or Lower, hilarious stories of customers and an impromptu conga line.

Even with all of the fun and the fab service, the food was still the star of the show. Opting for the Bucket of Bones starter and the Chicken Finger BLT Waffle, I met my match and could only get through half of the waffle. The portions are generous and hearty and the drinks (cocktails chosen by my server to compliment my meal) were expert and excellent accompaniments to the food.

There are over 60 TGI Fridays in the UK, meaning you should be able to find one in your area. Go in and sample their delicious food, the party atmosphere, the well-stocked bar and the one-of-a-kind service. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
